Another Energy-Efficient Heating Option: QuadraFire Pellet Stoves

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of QuadraFire. All opinions are 100% mine.

While I recently shared another energy-efficient heating alternative with you I also wanted to share with you about QuadraFire Pellet Stoves and inserts.  Their motto is “Nothing Burns Like a Quad.”  Built on a strong legacy Quadra-Fire® creates products with proven performance, durability and control in mind.

While I have not yet had experience with a pellet stove, we have been considering one as a popular heating alternative to our now used propane heater.    Why?  Well we are in need of a heater for one end of our house and they are extremely eco-friendly.

Did you know:

  • Using a pellet stove to heat your home costs 44% less than oil, 47% less than electric, and 53% less than propane heat.  I can take that kind of reduction!
  • Biomass fuels are composed of renewable, carbon-neutral products.

Pellet Stoves are Awesome

Now is a great time to purcahse if you are considering an alternative heating source this winter!   The federal tax credit on 75 percent efficient biomass heating appliances, which expired on Dec. 31, 2011, was reinstated on Jan. 2, 2013.  The extender provides a 10 percent tax credit of up to $300 on a qualifying biomass heating appliance purchased between Jan. 1, 2012 and De. 31, 2013!

A Little History On Quadra-Burn Stoves

In 1985, after nearly two years of research and development, Alan Trusler and Dan Henry revealed their patented Quadra-Burn system as an eco-conscious replacement for traditional wood-burning stoves. By burning and re-burning gases and smoke in four different zones of the stove, Trusler and Henry created the cleanest burning non-catalytic wood stoves on the market and revolutionized alternative-energy for home heating. More than 25 years later, you can rest assured that each and every Quadra-Fire stove or insert, whether it runs on wood, corn, gas, or pellets, is designed with a mind toward efficiency and an eye toward beauty.

We would love to know what interests you most about the QuadraFire Pellet Stoves.  Leave us a comment and be entered into a drawing for a recycled Quadra notebook.

  1. When we built our home 7 years ago, we did not dual zone our upper and lower levels. We spend many cold, northeast Wisconsin nights in our lower level enjoying family movie night. Currently, we have a geothermal water furnace system for heating and cooling. My husband and I have been looking into pellet stoves and weighing them against a wood burning stove to place into the lower level. We prefer the clean burning, less duct work, and ease of the pellet stove. Now it’s just a matter of finding the best fit for our home and finances!
