With the month quickly passing by, I realized I still have several goals on my to-do list that need to be tackled. One of which was to visit two infirm friends. We like to try to make a treat to take with us but the kids and I also decided we wanted to take something they could enjoy for just a bit longer.
Having our first signs of spring surfacing outside in the form of daffodils, we decided bringing some of that beauty indoors would be perfect! We had picked up these colorful stoneware pots at our Dollar Tree for only $1 and with a piece of crocheted lace and matte Modge Podge were able to dress it up!
It really is so simple. Cut the edge of the lace on a slight diagonal angle.
Wrap the lace around your pot to measure your second cut and trim it on the opposite angle so the cuts will meet.
With a brush or sponge, brush the Modge Podge onto the back side of the lace.
Position the lace onto your pot. Adding a small amount around the edges as needed.
Allow the Modge Podge to dry and then paint on a layer of Modge Podge on the outside of the lace. Try to cover the edges and the seams. Wipe away any excess Modge Podge once you are finished. Allow it to fully drive overnight before planting.
In only about five to ten minutes you have an adorable planter ready for you to brighten any space or someone else’s day! It is amazing how you can turn a $1 planter from the Dollar Tree into something beautiful!
