Now that summer is in full swing, many families are headed on summer vacation! When I was growing up, taking a vacation for my family usually consisted of traveling to Florida to see family. We looked forward to it each and every year.
Sometimes we would head to one of the beaches, we usually visited Walt Disney World and Sea World and would take in some shopping. There were times we also headed to the mountains in Utah or down south to Northern Georgia. No matter where we traveled, we looked forward to taking a summer family vacation.
Now that I have a family of my own, we also love to travel but I understand the challenges it presents with young children. Staying in a hotel is such a nice treat! I love not having to clean, I love to vacation so I don’t have to cook. It is nice to have a break every now and then. Staying in a hotel with young children also presents challenges, space, noise and did I mention noise? Yes, it is a challenge to keep kids quiet in a hotel because usually they are excited, super excited to be away from home and traveling. What child doesn’t love to visit new places? Mine do!
Now there are so many options while traveling! July is known as National Vacation Rental Month. Although we have yet to stay in a vacation rental, with a family the idea of more space and having the conveniences of home with fully-equipped kitchens and multiple bedrooms sounds like just the right way to travel!
What are your summer vacation plans? It is not too late to still make plans! The Wyndham Vacation Rentals is offering summer deals of up to 35% off nightly rates on bookings made through July. Here in the U.S., Wyndham Vacation Rentals‘ properties range from private homes, resorts condos and villas with destinations such as Florida, South Carolina, Delaware and Alabama’s Gulf Coast to mountain-side condos and luxury cabins in Colorado, Utah, Tennessee and Idaho.
Travelers that stay at Wyndham Vacation Rentals are able to enjoy the best of both worlds – the space and comfort of home with the conveniences and amenities of a hotel stay! With their “Vacation Rental Bill of Rights®” service pledge, they ensure quality standards, comprehensive customer service and real-time payment and bookings you can have peace of mind in booking a vacation rental. Sounds like a perfect solution for any family!
Now that we are expecting our third child next month, our summer travels have taken a back burner this year. I wish we could head to the coast because my children beg to visit the beach and Disney almost daily but maybe as the weather cools just a bit we will be able to before the end of the year.
Our travel bucket list for the next year is to visit:
- Walt Disney World
- New York
- The Beaches in Alabama, Georgia or North Carolina
Are you headed on vacation this summer? Does your family choose to stay in a hotel or have you stayed in a vacation rental before?
