One of our biggest expenses in life can be our grocery budget. We all have to eat and in the day and time we live in, we often pay a great deal for convenience. Although we love to eat and we eat good, it is possible to budget to save money by creating meal plans. Several years ago, I posted weekly meal plans here on the blog. Most weeks I still create a meal plan, and the truth of it all is, my life is better with a meal plan! My stress level is less, my anxiety is less and I have MORE time when I do!

And just like that, 2016 in is the books! It is so true that as you get older the time seems to fly by. This year was a great one, it was tumultuous and full of surprises. We made many great memories and had amazing experiences we will look back on and treasure. During 2016 my husband changed jobs, was laid off and at the very tail end decided to join me on this blogging journey. He named his blog, Do It Yourself Daddy. That alone was a huge leap of faith but we have already been blessed with him being home with us. We traveled more as a family in 2016, memories were made, experienced many firsts and took fear head on. I am so excited to see what 2017 will bring!
