A Dirty Mouth Update, TMI and What I Learned

I received Listerine Brand products and a ‘ gift card from Johnson and Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. and The Motherhood as part of my participation in the Listerine 21-Day Challenge. All thoughts and opinions that are expressed in this post are completely my own.

I have to admit I am not good at sticking with things. I set goals but don’t always achieve. Well we are at the end of our 21 Day Listerine Challenge and I have to say I am so proud of myself and our family. We did it! I had a couple of days that I forgot to rinse in the morning but overall I stuck to the goals we set out. Thanks to lots of very kind reminders from my husband.

To get into a good routine we figured out what would work best for us. My husband gets up very early for work. Mornings didn’t work well for us to do our brush, rinse and floss together. So my husband was on his own and me and my son would accomplish our first oral routine of the day together after breakfast. But in the evening before bed together we all brush, flossed and rinsed.

Our son is only 2 so he needs some assistance. But he is going through the stage where he wants to do every thing by himself so when it came time to give him a little help he would yell to my husband “I am running, do myself.”  He is a very cute little toothbrusher.

Listerine has such a huge variety of products for everything so of course we couldn’t use it all. My husband and I chose to use the Listerine Whitening Original Gel Fluoride Anticavity Toothpaste. The first time I used it was a little different it left my mouth feeling a little pasty or you could say powdery. Our mouth definitely felt fresh and very clean.

After brushing we would use the Cool Mint Listerine Antisepic Mouthwash. I have to say I wasn’t much of a rinser but after this 21 one day challenge I am not sure I can go with out it. My teeth feel cleaner then they have felt in a very long time. That smooth, slick clean sensation that the mouthwash gives combined with the brushing is so, so, so WONDERFUL!

My husband has a lot of trouble with his sinuses so we carried around the Listerine Pocketpak Oral Care Strips. Let me tell you kissing him after one of those is better than any breath mint. LOL probably TMI. I used them a few times throughout the month as well, I was surprised how long they stick with you leaving a nice fresh feeling in your mouth.

I chose to have the lifestyle coach assist me with organization which I still could use so much improvement on. Peter Walsh was the Life Coach that gave me several good suggestions. One was using clear containers in the refrigerator. Then you know exactly what you have to prepare a meal and set the table. Also get rid of the wish clothing. All the clothing I have been holding onto to fit back in to some day. Peter gave good advice those clothes only remind us of what we are not and help reinforce a feeling of failure when we look at them. So donate them and feel good you’re helping out!

So now that my 21 day challenge is complete I need to head back to our favorite Walgreens to stock back up on my now favorite oral products Listerine. Better yet starting the week of March 1st you can pick up Listerine Antiseptic for only $4.49, which is a really good price to help your mouth feel refreshed and clean.
