Enjoying Tea Time with Friends and MightyNest

I have such fond memories of pretend play when I was younger.  It fosters great imagination as well as social skills with sharing and interacting.  When I was four years old I broke my femur bone on a bicycle.  Those 8 weeks in a body cast seemed like an eternity to a four-year old.  I learned to be very imaginative and became very fond of pretend cooking and playing with my dolls.

My children have some wooden and cloth food that they love to pretend to make dinner or breakfast for each other or Mama.  Our newest edition to our pretend play food is the PlanToys Wooden Tea Set from Mighty Nest.  It is such a cute toy I really feel good about letting my little one play with!   The set is made from preservative free rubberwood; they are truly a green company.

The set comes with a wooden tea-pot with removable lid, two cups and saucers, two wooden tea bags, 2 sugar cubes, 2 stirrer and a cream and sugar set.  How perfect is it for a girls mini tea party?  Addie had so much fun today playing with her cousin sipping tea.

This would make the perfect gift for any little girl for any time of the year!  My daughter loves it and even plays tea with her brother who is four.

About MightyNest

MightyNest had its beginnings when a couple was blessed with their first child. The reality that their decisions impacted another human being caused them to take a closer look at the products they were using in their home. They were startled to find that many of the products that many use every day contained potentially harmful chemicals and had unnecessary risks associated with them.  After lots of ideas, discussions and another child later, MightyNest was born.

MightyNest is a unique Web site that provides you the ability to research, get advice and buy natural, organic and non-toxic products all in one place. All of the products they sell are free from known toxic ingredients such as: BPA, PVC, Phthalates, Lead, Melamine, Formaldehyde, Flame retardants, Parabens and more.

You will find excellent customer service, a unique selection and just an awesome community of people willing to offer advice and guidance on topics from sunscreen to keeping toxins out of your kitchen!

I love the selection you can find at MightyNest not only for infants and children but also household and beauty products.  Be sure to visit their website and see the amazing selection they have to offer!  You can connect with the MightyNest team on Facebook and Twitter.

I received the above tea set to review.  As always, all opinions are 100% those of my family and myself.

It is! I love that it is real wood and not pressed. I don’t have to worry about it being dropped and broken.

Love Plan Toys! Wooden toys are great for imagination and knowing they are safer than plastic ones.

Thank-you Rachel! I had such a hard time trying to decide what I wanted to name my blog. Although it may seem very odd to some, it fits me perfectly 🙂
