Getting the Right Fit with Glamourmom®

When I was pregnant with my first son I went into a maternity store to be fitted for nursing bras.  I was shocked by the measurements that they gave me and the fact that even though my milk hadn’t come in fully, nothing I tried on was comfortable!  I purchased several soft nursing bras and thought all was good.

When I was in the hospital preparing to give birth to my son, I quickly realized what I had purchased was just not going to cut it for me for support or comfort.  After Austin came and I was pumping in the hospital I realized just how much I hated having my mid-section exposed even though others were not around.  My Mother and Aunt went out and found me several styles of nursing tanks to try out and it was LOVE!

There were ones that definitely fitted better than others but I loved the concept!  I would actually find myself living in my nursing tanks for the next several years, almost four to be exact!

It was hard to give them up and go back to non-nursing bras after I stopped nursing Addie but I did.  When I found out I was pregnant with Bethany, I knew hands down that I would be in the market for new nursing tanks!  Although you will change in cup size when your milk comes in, I know what size I used with my first two.  I have always had to purchase an extra-large size due to being a really heavy milk-maker.  No exception with this one because I was measured in at a 36F being pregnant.  It can truly be a challenge to find nursing bras in that size.

After doing some searching I found Glamourmom®!  It was founded by a mother, Line Rothman in 2000 after she gave birth to her first daughter.  She desperately searched for a nursing top that provided full support and easy breast access, while keeping her post-partum belly covered.  After her search left her frustrated, Line designed a tank top with a unique full support built-in nursing bra.

For me, the Glamourmom® Nursing Bra Full Bust Long Top was the perfect solution!  Most nursing tanks only come in S, M, L & XL.  Some of the nursing tanks do not provide enough coverage even in an XL to be worn comfortably under my breast and provide full coverage.  With the Full Bust tank it allows me to actually order a medium size but still provides full support for my bust.

GlamourmomFeatures of the Glamourmom® Nursing Bra Full Bust Long Top

  • Original, patented design for full discretion and support when nursing in public
  • Full built-in nursing bra with adjustable elastic chest band to support the transitioning bust size
  • Guaranteed post-partum tummy coverage
  • Slightly fuller cut with rouching
  • Wide, adjustable, smooth elastic bra straps
  • Extra length to mid-thigh for a more fashionable option
  • Nursing bra hook closures for easy, one-handed access

One of my personal favorite features about the Glamourmom® Nursing tank is that is that the chest band is adjustable!  I have never seen that before but it easily allows you to adjust the fit as your size increase or decreases!  This is a huge plus!

The Glamourmom® Nursing Bra Full Bust Long Top retails for $59.00 and I can say, although they are a bit higher than others I have purchased for the fit and extra comfort, they are worth every penny!

  1. These are super fancy! I would have loved something like these when I had babies. I’m not having anymore so I guess I won’t be getting one of these amazing nursing tanks!

  2. Wow I used to work in a retail store that sold maternity clothes. I remember it was a big thing when we started getting the nursing tank tops, but wow, I love the features of these! And I seriously wish I’d had them eight years ago!
