Green Kids Crafts Provides Eco-Educational Fun

We love kids crafts and have long been a fan of a green monthly subscription box we started back in the spring.  I was very excited to be able to try out a new service with the children this month, Green Kid Crafts.

Green Kid Crafts started with a working mother wanting to make the most of the time she had to spend with her own children.  Although most of us can come up with kids crafts we would love to do with our children, finding the time to collect the needed supplies can take away some of that precious time we do have.  Thus the idea for Green Kid Craft was born.

What Makes Them Different?

They ensure that their products are engaging, creative, and fun and also align with their Happy & Healthy Child principles.  Green Kid Crafts is certified carbon neutral, Green America Approved, and a member of 1% for the Planet.  Their business plan shows just how important being Green really is important to the core of their business.

Sharing Our Thoughts

We received the Food themed box this month.  Since my children are used to receiving a monthly themed box, we were all extremely excited about the contents of the Green Kid Crafts box.  The box contained three different activities along with some pretty awesome coupons from Mambo Sprouts.

Addie quickly claimed the Tile Mosaic Coaster.  She loved the thought of using glue all by herself.  Before she got started we sorted them according to colors and she counted each of them.  She and Austin then found which fruit or vegetable matched their tile on the enclosed card.

I then helped her with the first row so she had a guide and then it was great for her coordination to glue and place each small tile in place.  She loved the activity and her only complaint was that she had one lonely pink tile 🙂

Austin claimed the fish activity.  What boy wouldn’t want to trace a fish on felt and then make a mini pole with a pencil, string, washer and Velcro?  Although he needed a little help with tracing them on the felt he tried hard to do it himself.  We then cut out the fish and made the pole.  He had fun fishing!

The third activity was planting basil seeds and sprouts.  We are always game for planting new seeds.  I love that the sprouts are something that grow so quickly that the kids can really watch them change daily.

We truly loved the crafts included and would love getting the Green Kid Craft box monthly.  It is only $19.50 a month with free shipping and each month has a different theme.

  1. A monthly craft box would be great for my 4 year old. It contains all I need and I won’t have to think of new crafts. That is pretty cool! Thanks for sharing 🙂
