Keep Your Toddlers Engaged with Busy Bags from Activity Bags

I have to say I have heard about busy bags from other Mama’s in the past but have never actually sat down and put any together.  The idea of having a pre-made ready to go bag filled with an activity to keep your little one occupied sounded like a great idea to me.  I have been looking into various activities to take with us on our nearing road trip.  The first day will be about 10 hours in the car so I wanted something that I would be able to pull out every so often that would be “new” to the kids but also engage them.

The Solution

I was introduced to Activity Bags by a homeschooling Mama and truthfully I loved it as soon as I was on their site.  The offer an assortment of ebooks that are full of Activities in a Bag for various ages.

I had the opportunity to receive both Preschool Activity books.  We looked through the books trying to decide which one we wanted to undertake first. We first did the activity bag with various beads, and we even did cut straws that we had collected along with fuzzy sticks instead of string.  The kids had a great time stringing the beads and I love that it kept their attention while still developing their hand-eye coordination.  It was great for us because I worked on another craft project and they both were busy at opposite ends of the table making something of their own.

I made a list of things I would need for six different bags I want to put together before our trip in a few weeks.  I think it would be great every few hours to pull out something new.  Actually a sponsor gave me the idea of having something for each hour of our car ride to give them.  She had picked up things from the dollar store to give to her daughter every hour but I am going to try to make several Activity Bags, printable folders with coloring sheets and work sheets as well as new handmade felted animals that I am so hoping to have time to make before we leave. We already picked out the bags we would like to make; the #1 Preschool Activity bag ebook has 34 activity bag ideas!

Even if your children are not pre-school age, they have activity bag ebooks for Science projects, Math, Travel and Reading.  If you home school or just are looking for fun projects for your children, why not look into Activity Bags!   It would be so cool to arrange a swap with 5-6 other Mama’s and end up with 5-6 different bags every month!  I love the idea and may look into doing one even online.

Be sure to check out Activity Bags online store to see what ebooks they offer and connect with them on Facebook to keep up to date with new ideas as well!

Disclosure:  I received the Activity Bags ebook at no charge for my review.  All opinion expressed are 100% my own.
