I drive an older van and I am totally okay with that. It is paid for and I don’t have a payment. It drives well and I hope to make it last through the year at least. However, when I consider the facts, when we do replace it we want to replace it with a van that gets better gas mileage.
We may never purchase a new vehicle again, but we will heavily consider not just the upfront costs but also the fuel costs of the life of the vehicle. Living in the country we drive a great deal and being prudent upfront will totally pay off in the long run. Take a look at the infographic below to see exactly how much you can save by switching to a vehicle that gets 10 mpg more.
