Do you have a dream kitchen? I certainly have my dream kitchen! When we purchased our new to us but much older home two years ago, I knew I would have to live with the 1970s kitchen for several years. It was old, but spacious and clean. It was well-built, but I think some of the appliances are almost as old as I am.
For now I am content but I dream about when my husband is able to do a complete remodel! I can’t wait for a new stove. I dream about countertops and a tiled backsplash. A spacious refrigerator and new knobs that don’t catch as I walk by.
Each time we are in Best Buy, I stroll through the appliances. There are so many options and I love that I can actually put my hands on them and not just look at them. I can open the doors, pull out drawers and touch the surfaces. Having four kids, it is VITAL that I can actually see what they will look like when I touch them…or another 40 fingers touch them. I love the new stainless steel that doesn’t leave smudges and smears.
Right now we are huge fans of the GE Appliances at Best Buy. They give a unified appearance so you can mix and match their lines to exactly what you want and still look seamless in the kitchen. I am always greeted by a friendly service expert who offers to answer any questions I have or tell me about the latest ways to save. **(Check out the latest offer at the bottom of my post!)
This time of year as the weather starts to cool and the year is coming to a close, many kitchens kick it into high gear for entertaining. Since both my husband and I work from home, and homeschool our children, I feel like I spend half my life in my kitchen. Three meals a day that are usually all homemade takes quite a bit of time. This morning I made dairy and gluten-free chocolate chip banana muffins. My current oven is so small, to be able to have the GE Profile Series Dual Convection Range would be a dream. It would cut down my time in the kitchen significantly because I could actually prepare two dishes at the same time!
I love to cook with cast iron but hate the current coiled cooktop I have. It heats very unevenly. The GE Profile Series Gas Range has a reversible cast iron grill/griddle for versatility. And gives you a huge cooking surface with the edge-to-edge cooktop. I know I am not the only mama out there that has four pots and pans going at the same time! Lat night I was preparing a pork lo mein for my husband and I, so I had a wok on one burner, water for the noodles on another, rice for the kids and steamed broccoli in another pot for the children. All four were in use and I could have used another, but the pork chops were baking in the oven.
What if you are working hard in the kitchen and decide you want a cup of coffee? How about letting the GE Profile Series Keurig Kcup French Door make it for you? Yep, a cup of coffee or cocoa right from your refrigerator door. Talk about a huge perk! Aside from the fact that it is huge and has the freezer as a bottom pull out drawer, that is my dream fridge.
I can truly see these appliances in my dream kitchen. We both want a modern farmhouse kitchen and the GE Profile Series appliances are designed with clean lines, minimal curves and a streamlined look that blends with today’s kitchens. They have really thought about all the brilliant little touches that answer real-life needs.
