Naturoli Review {Sponsor Spotlight #GreenMoms}

I first came across Naturoli when I was looking into soap berries.  They make some really concentrated laundry soap from soap berries.  I haven’t yet tried it but really look forward to.  So when I was given a chance to review some of their beauty products I was so excited.  One of the reasons I was so excited is that they offer a full disclosure policy!  Get this, their products are free from the following: Talc, Paba, Sulfates, Lanolin, Paraben, Phtahlates, Phosphate, Formaldehyde, Petro-Chemicals, Fragrence, Dyes, Alcohol and Chlorine.  That is something very important to me!

They sent this beautiful gift basket with five mini products to try out.  First off, I have a very dry face but it is also sensitive to products.  So I was happy that upfront, on their website they list all the ingredients of each and every product.  They also link directly to the EWG cosmetic database, which shows they have nothing to hide.  If you haven’t yet checked out the EWG database, you should!  It rates personal products based upon the safety of the ingredients in the products and they affects they can have on our bodies.  It rates from 0-10, with the lowest number, the better.  If you don’t want to know the truth, don’t look!

So the first product I tried was the New Radiance Facial Creme.  It has a nice, soothing scent.  But more importantly is so smooth and creamy.  It is absorbed within minutes and my skin didn’t feel greasy afterwards.  It was nice and hydrated with a very small amount of creme.  It moisturizes and protects without clogging your pores, plus has anti-fungal and antibacterial properties that assist in toning and balancing stressed or troubled skin.  If you are wondering it is rated a 1 on the EWG database.

The next product in the basket was their Cleansing Masque.  This truly takes very little to work.  It is a clay based mask and you will want to follow the directions.  After you allow it to fully dry (about 10 minutes) you will then rinse very well to remove the mask.  I used a warm wash cloth to help.  My face was a little red after use, that went away very quickly.  Let me tell you, my skin hasn’t felt this clean in a long time.  That was just after one use!  Once Clay becomes hydrated, it absorbs toxins, impurities, heavy metals and other contaminants. Upon mixing with water, it rapidly swells open like a highly porous sponge. All the toxins in your skin are drawn into that sponge through electrical attraction.  It rates a 2 on the EWG database.

The Deep Conditioning Facial Wash was excellent.  It is very user friendly, requiring a simple lather, and it does very nicely and then warm water, that’s it.  After using, your skin feels refreshed, clean and moisturized rather than stripped of all your natural oils.   As a result of the Rose extract it is a natural astringent with rejuvenating and anti-aging properties.  This product also rates at 1 on the EWG database.

The Gentle Exfoliating Sugar Scrub can be used on the face or body.  I have used some very harsh scrubs before so I thought it would be best to try this out on my feet and arms.  It is very gentle.  Since they have combined essential oils, natural sea kelp and olive it leaves your skin soft and feeling moisturized.  I haven’t yet, but will try this on my face as well since it was very mild.  Again rated 1 on EWG.
