This post was created in partnership with Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™. I received complimentary products and compensation to facilitate my review, but all opinions within are my own.
With three of my children suffering from food allergies, I make a great deal of our food from scratch. Since both my husband and I are entrepreneurs, and I homeschool, we are at home for most meals. Three meals a day, each day can feel like I spend a great deal of time in the kitchen.
I have always enjoyed cooking but I don’t enjoy it when I am cooking under pressure with a mountain of things to do. There are always things to be accomplished, but I am speaking of pressing things. As a result, I’ve learned to batch cook, prepare extra veggies or meats so that future meals are more simple to make, and make sure I make enough to enjoy leftovers.
I’m always on the hunt for tips and tricks to make my job a little easier. When I received a large box from our partner Ninja, I was so excited to see what was inside. I had used a Ninja to make baby food and loved it! I knew that whatever was in the box I would love. And I certainly was not disappointed! It was the Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™. Austin was more than happy to nicely unpack the box for me, assemble the unit and read over the manual and cookbook. He might have been equally excited.
The Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer features one smart base that transforms into four high-performance appliances: 72 oz. Total Crushing® Blender, 64 oz. Precision Processor™, 24 oz. Single-Serve Cup, and Auto-Spiralizer. If you have not ever used a Ninja blender or food processor, they both have the ability to blend and puree better than anything else I have ever used; it’s totally smooth.
One thing I find myself doing often is using my food processor to make homemade hummus. I also like to use it to chop veggies. Confession: I hate copping onions. They really make me cry, like the kind of crying where my eyes swell. So when I am going to chop onions for a recipe, I do many at once and then freeze them for future cooking. I don’t have to deal with the onion eyes as often and it helps reduce my prep time later.
Some of the fun features:
- Intuitive Touchscreen: The sleek, flat screen responds to your touch and lets you select between vessel-specific Smart Programs and manual options. And the durable, easy-to-clean screen stands up to everyday kitchen wear and tear.
- Smart Vessel Recognition: In a snap, Ninja’s Smart Vessel Recognition Technology automatically senses which vessel is attached to the base and the touchscreen changes to display a customized menu of Smart Programs on the touchscreen, enabling one Smart Base to become four high-performance appliances.
- 12 Smart Programs: Chef-designed automatic recipe creations deliver optimal results every time. Precisely calibrated patterns of pulsing and pausing combined with ideal speed, power and torque for each attachment create everything from fresh salsa and pizza dough to margaritas and decadent ice creams—all it takes is a simple tap.
Being that I try to batch cook, I love that each of the four uses have their vessel. For me that means I can keep working without having to stop each time to wash out the vessel. I can unlock and snap a new container to the base and keep going.
Austin was the most excited to try out the smoothie blender. He loves creating recipes for smoothies. Lemons are his current favorite to add to almost anything. So he quickly set out to tell me what his first creation would entail…Me? I was dreaming of the options to spiralize and make fun veggie zoodles to try out in recipes. With the girls now gluten-free, I love the options to add veggie zoodles to soup recipes this winter.

Our first recipe we created however was a side dish of sweet potato noodles with a yummy pecan pie glaze. It was yummy and even my two year old couldn’t get enough.
Pecan Pie Glazed Sweet Potato Noodle Recipe
- 3 small to medium sweet potatoes, peeled
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons of brown sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup water
- pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup pecans, chopped
Peel the sweet potatoes and then using the Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer, make them into sweet potato noodles. Melt butter over medium-low heat. When the butter starts turning white and foamy, add in 3 tablespoons of brown sugar and the maple syrup. Stir to combine until sugar melts.
Add the sweet potato; stir or toss to coat with butter. Next add your water. Bring to a gentle boil, toss to coat occasionally. Reduce heat and cover. Allow to cook for about five minutes, stirring once and recover.
Remove the sweet potato noodles and reduce down the liquid by continuing to cook. Stir frequently so it doesn’t scorch. In two to three minutes when the liquid is thick, pour over the sweet potato noodles. Add pecans with remaining one tablespoon of sugar. Toss to coat.
