Thank-you to HALO for being a sponsor in our Bringing Home Baby event.
I think each child is so different in so many ways. One thing that all babies have in common is that they loved to be swaddled. They have after all been living nice and snugly in the warm comforts of your tummy and when they are welcomed into the world are not quite sure what to do with all that space.
With my first, I didn’t realize the truth of the need to swaddle but did so quickly. He slept so much better when he was swaddled snugly. Folding a swaddle can take talent. If you have a wiggle worm, you may have to re-swaddle many times. I found this to be a challenge at night, when I was waking up less than every two hours to breastfeed.
A friend sent me my first set of swaddling blankets and truly, I was in love from the first use. They simplified my nights of changing diapers and breastfeeding and I actually was able to sleep better as a result.
HALO® SleepSack Swaddle: My Nighttime Solution
When I had Addie, I was introduced to HALO® SleepSacks because she hated blankets so they were the perfect solution to keeping her warm, especially in the winter time. Now with Bethany, this will be my first time trying out the HALO® SleepSack Swaddle.
The SleepSack® Swaddle is a unique design that takes the place of loose-fitting blankets that can cover your babies face and affect their breathing. The adjustable swaddle wrap helps to prevent the startle reflex in sleeping babies.
I am all about natural fibers and I love that the cotton material is so soft and breathable. You are able to comfortably swaddle your little one with their arms in or out as they get to be a bit older. The first layer of the swaddle has an inverted zipper to make diaper changes easier at night. The outer layer of the swaddle has strong velcro strips that allow you to create a custom fit for the size of your little one.
HALO® is a trusted brand not only by so many Mamas, but Pediatricians too! The HALO® SleepSack Swaddle is used in 1,000 hospital nurseries and has been deemed “hip healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.
The HALO® Safer Way to Sleep Initiative:
HALO Innovation’s SleepSack® Swaddle has become the standard for hospital nurseries and parents alike. In fact, 1,000 hospital nurseries use the HALO SleepSack Swaddle instead of blankets through the HALO Safer Way to Sleep Initiative. That is 1.5 million births getting first-hand, in-hospital experience with the HALO SleepSack Swaddle and safe sleep practices! Leading health organizations agree that modeling proper baby care in the hospital is the single biggest influence on how parents care for their baby at home. HALO Innovations also offers free Safe Sleep Practices kits to childbirth educators to help further the cause of SIDS prevention.
