Who doesn’t love pizza? My kids would eat pizza day after day, not that they get it frequently but they love it. Although I typically make my own pizza crust even for mini pizzas, I was looking to add a few simple freezer meals to my stash for when we come home with our new little one and using pre-made items for crusts makes it so simple!
We love english muffins and bagels so using them as the crust really makes this process so easy and gives you a truly simple freezer meal!
Simple Freezer Meals: Mini Pizzas
- Bagel Thins or English Muffins
- Pizza Sauce
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Various Toppings
Directions
Place your bagel thins or english muffins in a single layer on a flat pan or cookie sheet.
Add a thin layer of pizza sauce, if I am using premade and not making my own I prefer the flavors of the Muir Glen pizza sauce.
Sprinkle generously with cheese. Add your toppings if desired. This is a step we usually wait to do right before we bake them but truthfully it would be so easy to add them now as well.
Now flash freeze your pizzas so they can be added into a bag and not stick together. To do this, just place the flat pan or cookie sheet into the freezer for about 25-30 minutes and then they will be frozen enough so that everything holds together and they can be stacked into a freezer bag.
To prepare, simply preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Take out your desired amount of mini pizzas, add your toppings you wish to add and bake for 17-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
