The Importance Bonding: Mom and Baby

This post was sponsored by WaterWipes as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

Our Birth Story Caleb

I am first to say that those moments of waiting for your newborn to be handed to you once delivered can seem like forever.  With my first, I was allowed to tenderly kiss his head and then he was rushed off to be cared for in the NICU.  With all my other three, within moments of their cries I had my precious little bundles resting on my chest.  Those moments are ones to be treasured.

After giving birth, there is nothing like soothing your new blessing to take your mind off the work your body just went through to bring them into the world.  And for the baby, they have experienced something very traumatic being taken from the only home they have known within your protective womb.  Holding them skin to skin lets them hear the familiar heartbeat that they have grown accustom listening to inside the womb.  It is a calming time.  It is one that allows both mom and baby to feel a bond that is like none other.

Dad’s can share in the bonding just as well.  Many fathers also practice skin to skin bonding with their little ones.  The warmth of their skin, the security of their hands and listening to their heartbeats is comforting.

WaterWipes is an amazing brand that wants to bring awareness to soon-to-be parents about the importance of skin-to-skin contact in bonding.  In their new #PureLove video it is amazing to see that a mom’s body is all the baby needs.

It is no secret we are huge WaterWipes fans!  As mothers, we want only what is best for our children.  It is safe to say that are just that!  With only TWO ingredients, 99.9% pure Irish water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract, WaterWipes proves to be a safer, natural option for your little one.

With no added preservatives, they suggest an open package be used within a month’s time.  I would love to know who has little ones that a package of wipes last a month’s time with!?!  We seem to go through a pack or two a week.  Unopened, they can last up to 15 months.  I love that I am not using products with added preservatives on my little guy’s precious skin.

Over the next few months, I can’t wait to share more about WaterWipes with you!  I would love for you to watch the above #PureLove video and share your thoughts.

What tips do you have about your first moments of bonding to share?
