Today’s Baking Adventures-What You Can Make with 15 Cups of Flour!

Sorry, I didn’t get many deals posted today!  Today was spent with my 2 & 3 year old cooking, washing dishes, baking, washing dishes, cooking, washing dishes, baking…you get the picture!   We used 15 cups of flour baking today.  Not only does it feel so good to make something together, but to know what has gone into the food I am feeding my family makes me feel so good.

Today with the help of my two dear children we made:

Homemade White Cake with easy Chocolate Frosting
Homemade Whole Wheat Cheddar Crackers
Honey Whole Wheat Bread-2 Loaves
Monkey Bread-2 Loaves

We also made three homemade meals together today!  It was so much fun, but exhausting!  It takes twice as long to accomplish with my little ones, but they enjoy cooking (and eating) it oh so much!  We made quite the mess and nothing else was tackled today, but we had a blast!  Austin could not wait to dig into the cake as he has been asking for one for the last two weeks!  Both the kids loved rolling the balls of dough in the cinnamon and sugar for the Monkey Bread.  As you can see in the picture, the bread loaves weren’t perfect, but they were sculpted with the help on little hands.  We ate half a loaf of bread with our dinner tonight and it was so delicious right out of the oven-warm with a little butter!  So yummy 🙂

My goal is to start making something new from scratch each week and then share them with you!
