Upcycling and repurposing are close to my heart. I love to take things we no longer use or are past their day and give them new life again. There are times that just isn’t possible for everything but did you know that many times we can find companies that will help us repurpose items? Hopefully we all use reusable shopping bags (when we don’t forget!) If you are like me, you have a few that have seen their best times past them by. This is a great program to repurpose them.
The ChicoBag Repurposing Program accepts “all your tired masses of reusable bags, functional or not” and distributes them to people who need them or recycles them into new products with the help of The Grateful Thread.
The Grateful Thread takes the reusable bags that aren’t in good condition and handcrafts them into items like handbags, coasters, yoga mat bags, aprons and more.
So the bags you donate go directly those in need, either by becoming someone else’s reusable bag or being turned into an item that will ultimately benefit women in crisis.
The only thing we have to do is send our old, well-loved bags to ChicoBag.
